Tao Dejian 陶德坚

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Tao Dejian (1932-1997) was a native of Panyu County, Guangdong Province. She graduated from the Department of Architecture of Tianjin University in 1953 and began teaching at the Department of Architecture of Tsinghua University in the same year. In 1982, Tao Deijan took a position at the Huazhong Institute of Technology (now renamed Huazhong University of Technology), where she founded the Department of Architecture. She was also the founder of the New Architecture Magazine. Tao Deijan passed away in 1997 in Fredericton, Canada.
