Lin Huiyin, also known as Phyllis Lin or Lin Whei-yin, was a Chinese architect, architectural historian, and writer. She studied at the University of Pennsylvania and Yale University. She is recognized as the first female architect in modern China. She and her husband, Liang Sicheng, co-founded the architecture department at Northeastern University in China. She is widely known for her works on cultural heritage conservation and her contribution to the design of China’s national emblem.
