Chang creates participatory artwork. Among her best know work is the "Before I Die" walls. Now found in 78 countries and 35 languages the walls asks individuals and communities to reflect on what they want to acomplish, morality, and share aspirations in pubic space. Chang created the first wall on an abandoned New Orleans house after the death of a loved one.
