Debby Tewa

“I can identify with the people I'm helping. Many live the way I grew up, and I fully appreciate their excitement in having electricity and light at night.”

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Debby Tewa is a Hopi woman based in settler Arizona and Hopi territory. As a child, she grew up on a Hopi Reservation without electricity or access to water.
