DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Wang Weiyu is a Chinese architect. She graduated from Peking University and was one of few women to attend university in the mid-20th century. Despite the stereotype that determined women should achieve very little, Wang performed extraordinarily, and went on to complete some substantial projects, many of which are highly esteemed in China. She began teaching architecture at Tsinghua University in Beijing in 1952, and after 1975, she shifted her research to interior design.
