Zhai Zongfan 翟宗璠

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Zhai Zongfan was born in Wuhu, Anhui Province in 1924, and graduated from the Department of Architectural Engineering of Chongqing University in 1947. In the early 1950s, Zhai was recruited to the North China Construction Company in Beijing. In 1986, Zhai Zongfan became the consultant and chief architect of the Architectural Design Institute of the Ministry of Construction. Zhai Zongfan is a registered architect at the national level, was the lead designer of the National Library, and is a recipient of special government allowances. Nearing 100 years old, Zhai still goes to work every day.
